Winter Weekend at the Dremple

We spent a fun weekend with Grandpa and Grandma Van S at the Dremple this weekend (their cottage North of Bancroft near Algonquin).

Puzzles; Scrabble; stories with Grandma by the fire. All very primitive.
Of course, the road isn't plowed, so getting up and down is a matter of snowshoes and sleds. And of course, the little ones always get to ride in style

Last week we took advantage of the sun and the near-zero temperatures to build Rachel's first ever snowman.

Rachel paints

So Rachel is painting, and her proud Daddy says: "Wow, that's great. What's it a picture of?"
Rachel looks him straight in the eye and says:

"Daddy, it's a picture of paint."

Hard to argue with that.
