Basement Renovation - Day 23

1st coat of Painting and cutting is done. Now for the floors. We'll have tile on the stairs, landing, and bathroom with laminate flooring through the rest.
In other news, the ceiling passed the "dutch boy" test. Our friend James who is 6'5" was able to walk around without stooping over.

Nana and Papa Rule took Rachel out to the children's museum this weekend. That's Nana racing Rachel. Rachel's up by a hump, but Nana's neck-and-neck.

Sorry reno fans, it's been a slow couple of weeks since the drywall went up, with lots of little finesse steps, but the cumulative effect is pretty impressive. Doors, trims, paint, and lighting, all pretty much done.

Basement Renovation - Day 16

The drywall crew was in on Monday, and did all the rough drywall work in one day. For the rest of this week it will be a cycle of mud-dry-sand-mud for a total of three coats.
